Put a light on our surgery patients

About this cause

When a native animal is brought to us, time is critical.

A koala struck by a car. A sea turtle entangled in fishing gear. A wallaby joey found orphaned on the roadside. Each patient arrives frightened, injured and unable to tell us where it hurts. Some of these precious animals will require an operation from our specialist veterinarians.

A quality surgery light is an essential piece of equipment that will save lives.

That's where you come in.

The Moreton Bay Wildlife Hospital Foundation is raising funds for a Burton examination and procedure light.

More than 5,000 wildlife admissions from the Moreton Bay region currently rely on external facilities.
Our new dedicated hospital at Dakabin will bring that care home, and scale to meet a projected 10,000 admissions annually.

A surgery light is one of the very first pieces of equipment we need to make that happen.

This is a one-time opportunity to fully fund a piece of life-saving equipment that will serve Queensland's wildlife for decades to come. We are seeking a single philanthropic partner - an individual, family, or business - to own this moment entirely. One gift. One machine. One legacy. Your name on the plaque will be there the first time our vets save a koala, and every time after that. If you are ready to make that gift, we would love to hear from you.
