On Saturday 27th June I will be sleeping rough in an animal shelter, something that 100,000+ cats and dogs do every single night in Australia. This is to highlight the important and vital work that animal shelters play in today's society.

Not only do they provide food and warmth, they provide ongoing medical treatment, social interaction and love; something lacking in all of these animals lives.

Love comes in abundance but unfortunately everything else comes at a price - as a non-for-profit organisation, every single dollar raised goes towards the care of our unwanted cats and dogs.

Every single dollar raised helps The Animal Protection Society of WA help to keep our homeless dogs and cats off the street; providing shelter, food, vital vet work and ultimately helping them find the loving home they deserve.

Given I've never even been camping before I think this is a crazy idea, however Samuel has been in the kennels of APS since December 2024.  He is the silliest, goofiest most lovable boy but noone has yet opened their mind and heart to him.
