15 FOR 15 — $15 • 15 Years • One Community
For 15 days, we're asking our community to celebrate 15 years of Hawkesbury's Helping Hands by donating just $15.
PLEASE NOTE: GiveNow may automatically show $30 as a suggested donation amount. You don't need to donate $30 — simply choose the option to enter your own amount and enter $15.
If HHH has touched you, your family, someone you know, or you simply believe our doors should remain open, we'd love you to be part of the next chapter.
Maybe you've received a hamper, shared a community meal, used The Hive, volunteered with us, donated, supported us during a disaster, attended an event, shared one of our posts or simply quietly cheered us on.
Maybe you've never needed us at all.
But perhaps you simply believe that Hawkesbury's Helping Hands should still be here for the person who may need us tomorrow.
We're not asking a few people to give a lot.
We're asking lots of people to give a little.
Because one thing 15 years has taught us is that lots of littles make a lot.
Fifteen years ago, Hawkesbury's Helping Hands began with a couple of home-cooked meals carried to a local park and a simple desire to help.
We could never have imagined where that small beginning would lead.
For 15 years, our community has kept this little charity going.
Today, Hawkesbury's Helping Hands supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, financial hardship, isolation, crisis and unexpected life challenges.
Our work includes food relief and emergency hampers, community meals, homelessness support, outreach and practical assistance.
Through The Hive, people can access showers and laundry facilities, technology, a safe place to sit, a cuppa, conversation and connection — sometimes the simple things that can make an enormous difference when life is difficult.
Our work doesn't stop there.
After supporting our community through drought, fires and repeated floods, disaster preparation, response and recovery has become an important part of what we do.
We prepare before emergencies happen, respond when our community needs us and remain there throughout the often long road to recovery.
Sometimes we know what the day will bring.
Sometimes the phone rings and we simply respond.
For almost 15 years, that's what Hawkesbury's Helping Hands has done — helped where we can, however we can, without judgement.
Your $15 helps keep our doors open, our vehicles on the road, our fridges and freezers running, food on our shelves, our services available and our organisation ready to respond when our community needs us.
If you can give more than $15, we are incredibly grateful.
If $15 isn't possible, that's okay too. Sharing our 15 FOR 15 campaign costs nothing and can make a difference too.
This isn't about the size of one donation.
It's about what can happen when a community comes together.
For 15 years, you've helped keep this little charity going.
With your help, we'll keep being here for whatever comes next.
